Apr 2 - P.A.C.E assembly - Check out the website P.A.C.E. Trek.com to find out about what our students will be doing in March! The Garmisch Elementary and Middle School have enrolled in the PACETREK program and we even have Paul Staso visiting our school on April 2, 2010. The two teams enrolled are the elementary team called the Mountain Goats -Die Berg Ziegen and the middle school team called the Long Distance Runners- Langstreckenlaufer.

Second Quarter Awards Assembly - 4th through 8th grade students were recognized for achieving A-B honor roll and principal's honor roll (all As) on Thursda,y February 4. We had a number of students make the honor roll - Good Job! We hope to have even more students on the honor roll for third quarter. pictures
Spelling Bee - The Garmisch ES/MS Spelling Bee was Friday, January 22nd. Thirty-six students in grades 3 - 8 participated. Congratulations to all for having the courage to participate! pictures
Seventh Grade Drama - Our seventh grade drama students performed the play "A Dog's Best Friend" for the students and parents of Garmisch ES/MS. The play took a humorous look at what it would be like if humans and dogs were to switch roles. Great job seventh graders! pictures
Wonderful Wednesday - Week Two - Our students participated in the second of ten Wednesdays of ski instruction. Students had a great time and are already improving. pictures
Geography Bee - Congratulations to D. L., the winner of the first (local school) level of The National Geographic Bee: a nationwide contest for students in grades four through eight. The Bee, sponsored by the National Geographic Society is designed to encourage teaching and study of geography. There are three levels: local, state, and national. The winner of the National Bee receives a first-place prize of a $25,000 college scholarship. As winner of the school level, D was entitled to take the qualifying test for the State level. Winners of the qualifying test will be notified in late March. We wish D much success. We also congratulate the second and third place winners, T. C. and J. W., for a job well done. pictures
First Week of Wonderful Wednesday - The Wonderful Wednesday ski program began on Wednesday, January 6th. Our students had some challenging moments as they began the process of learning how to ski/snowboard. They returned from the slopes tired but happy and looking forward to next week. pictures
